Having porcelain veneers bonded to your teeth is a simply process that can be accomplished in just a couple visits to the dentist office. Improving your smile with porcelain veneers begins with an initial consultation with a cosmetic dentist.

During the initial consultation, the cosmetic dentist will evaluate the health of your teeth, and discuss what goals you would like to achieve with your smile. After it is determine that porcelain veneers are the best treatment for your smile, your teeth will be prepared for your custom made porcelain veneers. To prepare your teeth, a very small portion of the front surface of you teeth will be removed. This is to provide space for the porcelain veneers, and to roughen the surface so that they can be bonded to your teeth better.

A mold will then betaken of your prepared teeth and sent to a porcelain veneer dental lab so that technicians can create a mock-up of what your smile will look like with the porcelain veneers.
