When the cosmetic dentist receives the mock-up from the dental lab, you can approve it or make suggestions and alterations. After the mock-up has been approved, the porcelain veneer lab will send your cosmetic dentist the custom-made porcelain veneers that have been created just for you.

Once the cosmetic dentist has received the porcelain veneers, they will invite you back for your final dentist visit. A small amount of the front surfaces of your teeth will be removed to compensate for the thickness of the porcelain veneers.

Porcelain veneers are less than a millimeter thick, so the dentist only has to remove a very small portion of your natural tooth to create a seamless fit. After your teeth have bee prepared for the porcelain veneers, a bonding gel will be applied to the teeth, followed by the porcelain veneers.

In order to permanently bond the porcelain veneers to your natural teeth, a special, high-intensity light will harden the bonding gel. The porcelain veneers will then be permanently attached to your teeth.

After your porcelain veneers have been bonded to your teeth, you will be able to smile with confidence.
